Gold link jewelry is gold textile as jewelry - well that's how I think about my particular fascination with gold link. Obviously I'm a textile lover as I've devoted my design business to bending, sewing and musing over leather textiles. Solid gold forged into slinky chains is another chapter in my oohing and aahing over beautiful pliable yet strong constructions.

Handmade X link solid 18k gold bracelet from 1964
A total delight!! This silky, delicious vintage beauty is now available.
So beautifully made by hand in solid 18K gold that looks like liquid gold on your wrist.
This one is Swedish, from 1964, (the same year my parents married). The link type is called x-link or sometimes bismark/bismarck. The individually made links create little x’s where they are soldered together. Imagine the painstaking work that went into each and every solder. This is perfection!
The bracelet weighs 12.4 grams and measures 7.75 inches long. A nice width at approximately 3/8” (1 cm).
It has a well working and robust box clasp with double security. So sophisticated yet totally wearable. Imagine how gorgeous this would look in a stack with your favorite bracelets. Excellent condition with very little age-related wear.
